Rainbows

This isn't much of a rainbow but that is all I could catch at one of my favorite close by lakes.   I was puzzled by the size.  It was too small to be a carry over from last year and too big to be a stocker.  I found out that they haven't stocked the lakes yet and they are late last year.  Usually the lakes are stocked in early Spring but last year, with the cold start, they delayed until last Fall.  They are late this year too but will (have) stock in mid May.   This is a deep cold lake and almost always is fished with a full sink.  My favorite fly for this lake is a small Mrs Simpson.
